Writing to help you see God’s “mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning”

about me

Welcome to my Blog!

If you’re here, you have probably asked the hard questions in life, such as:

What is my purpose?

Is everything just random?

Why am I suffering so much?

Why did my loved one pass away?

Does anything really matter since I am going to die anyway?

Can any good come out of the mistakes I have made in my life?

Why is the world so messed up?

The purpose of this blog is to encourage you with the hope found only in Jesus Christ and to on-ramp you to Christ’s written word (the Bible), his Spirit (the Holy Spirit), and the Christians around you (you may or may not have met them yet!); whether you call yourself a Christian or not. Everything I write in this blog will be from a biblical worldview.

My goal is not to sell anything. I am not after fame, notoriety, money, or praise from people. I am just a man with real problems who has real hope to offer you. And that hope is not in myself, but in Jesus Christ. My goal is not to impress you with flowery language, but to show you that Christ speaks to you personally and to every thing in life, not just our problems (though he speaks loudly to those as well). As always, the Bible says it better than I do:

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (English Standard Version)
